5.2/10

My stay had its ups and downs. The location was fantastic and very convenient for exploring London, especially being so close to the British Museum. However, I was less impressed with the dining setup, since it required walking to a different hotel and the breakfast area felt cramped. Moreover, the bathroom could certainly use some upgrades. Overall, the spaciousness of the room was a plus, yet I didn’t feel it paralleled the 4-star experience I expected.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious and generally comfortable, but it showed some signs of age. The decor felt dated and the bathroom definitely needed some upgrades. The absence of plug sockets near the bed was inconvenient too.
Service
7.0
The staff were helpful and kind, which really elevated my stay. They assisted promptly when I raised concerns, and check-in was efficient. I appreciated their willingness to accommodate my requests.
Location
8.0
I loved the hotel's location. It was within walking distance of major attractions and transport links, making it easy to explore the area. The neighborhood was also quiet, which was ideal for relaxation.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast situation was a bit awkward. I had to walk to another hotel where the dining area felt cramped. Though the food varied, some items were lukewarm and didn't seem fresh, which was a letdown.
Facilities
5.0
The room came with basic amenities like a tea and coffee facility, which was nice. However, the bathroom could use more functional features like hooks. Overall, the facilities felt a bit lacking for the price.

5.6/10

I had a pleasant stay at the Grange Portland Hotel, thanks to its really good location near the British Museum and Covent Garden. My room was spacious and comfortable, featuring a kitchenette which was a nice touch. However, I did find a few aspects of the hotel a bit tired, and the breakfast setup in a sister hotel next door could be more convenient.

Rooms
6.0
My room was on the third floor and had a nice view of the gardens at the back, which made it quiet. It had a comfortable bed and basic amenities like a small kitchenette, though some decor was a bit outdated.
Service
8.0
The staff were friendly and helpful, especially during check-in. They addressed any issues promptly, which made my experience much more pleasant.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was ideal for exploring central London, with easy access to transport links and major landmarks.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was served at a sister hotel nearby and was quite basic. While the continental options were nice, I felt that it could use some improvement in variety and freshness.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel itself had limited facilities, with no bar or restaurant, and the process of moving to another hotel for breakfast was somewhat inconvenient.

6.8/10

During my stay at Grange Portland Hotel, I appreciated the fantastic central location, which offered easy access to attractions like the British Museum and Covent Garden. However, I found the rooms to be quite dated and in need of a refresh, affecting the overall comfort level. The staff were friendly and efficient, which made check-in and any inquiries smooth. On the downside, having to walk to a sister hotel for breakfast was not convenient, especially when paying a premium for the stay. Overall, it's a mixed experience, with some major points worth considering. 😊

Rooms
6.0
While my room was spacious and included a comfortable double bed and kitchenette, the decor was quite old, with frayed carpets and scuffed furniture that need updating.

The staff members were consistently friendly and helpful, responding promptly to my needs and making me feel welcome during my stay.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was excellent, situated in a quiet area yet conveniently close to major attractions, making it perfect for exploring London.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was offered at the nearby sister hotel, but I found it a bit inconvenient to have to step outside for a continental breakfast, which felt underwhelming for the price.
Facilities
5.0
The inclusion of a kitchenette was a nice touch, providing a bit of flexibility for meal prep, but overall the facilities need updating and improvement.

5.0/10

I had a mixed experience at the Grange Portland Hotel. The location near Russell Square was fantastic, making it easy to explore London, but the room I received was quite small and seemed in need of updates. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made a difference in my stay.

Rooms
5.0
The room was on the small side, with a tiny bathroom and dated furniture, which didn't quite meet my expectations for a 4-star hotel. However, I appreciated the kitchenette with a fridge and microwave despite its age.
Service
8.0
The reception staff were welcoming and promptly tried to help find a better room for me. Their service really stood out and made me feel valued during my stay.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was ideal for me, being close to the British Museum and the Tube station, making it convenient for sightseeing.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was served at a sister hotel nearby, which was decent, but it would have been better if it was offered on-site. I found the arrangements a bit inconvenient, especially since I had to walk to a different location.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel lacked some modern amenities and felt a bit shabby overall. There was no air conditioning, which might be a problem during hotter months. Additionally, the decor needs some attention.

6.0/10

I had a generally pleasant stay at Grange Portland Hotel with its spacious and comfortable room that came with a kitchenette, which was really handy. However, I did find it quite noisy in the mornings due to deliveries from nearby hotels. Although the staff were wonderful and attentive, the overall decor felt a bit shabby and in need of an update.

Rooms
8.0
My room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable, featuring a kitchenette that included a fridge and tea-making facilities. However, I found the decor a bit dated and the bed was on the harder side.
Service
9.0
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always accommodating my needs and providing great service throughout my stay.
Location
9.0
The location was fantastic, situated in a quiet street yet conveniently close to the British Museum and other attractions, making it ideal for exploring London.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was served at the hotel next door, which had a good variety, but it started a bit late for my taste. I found the continental options decent, though I would have preferred fresher pastries.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel offered essential facilities along with a kitchenette in the room, which was great for self-catering. However, the bathroom setup was a bit tricky, with a high-sided bath that made accessing the shower challenging.
